MasterCardMasterCard International payment system will start working in Iran since 23 August. This was reported by a local television channel Press TV with reference to the statement by the Minister of Communications of the Islamic Republic Mahmoud Vaezi.

According Vaezi, MasterCard debit and credit cards will be introduced into circulation Iran Post postal service that has signed an agreement with the payment system. The minister also stressed that the people of Iran will be able to carry out payment transactions when traveling abroad, purchase of foreign publications and articles to attend international conferences.

The Australian dollarThe Australian dollar fell because of disappointing data on the volume of industrial production, investment in fixed assets in China and retail sales, which is an important trading partner of Australia.

In China, investment in fixed capital increased in July by 8.1% year on year, while expected to grow by 8.8%. The volume of industrial production rose by 6.0% year over year, instead of the expected 6.1% and retail sales – by 10.2% instead of 10.5%.
