Carmaker PSA Peugeot Citroën in the next year plans to cut more than two thousand jobs in France. According to internal documents at the disposal of France Info, the reduction will be carried out by a program of early retirement and payment of incentive fees for termination of employment.
Over the past three years, the second largest European automotive group in France has reduced 17 thousand jobs. the auto giant’s restructuring program started in 2014 and resulted in a conflict with the trade unions, as it implies a significant reduction in staff costs.
However, in the first half of this year, the automaker increased its net profit more than doubled.
