Duke was one of the richest men in the world, his wife Natalia Phillips Grosvenor – both praprapravnuchka Russian Emperor Nicholas I and the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, godmother to the British throne Prince William’s heir.

Council of the EU decided not to penalize Spain and Portugal for the budget deficit

The EU CouncilThe EU Council has decided not to impose penalties in relation to Portugal and Spain for failure to reduce high budget deficits.

The Council also re-activated the excessive deficit procedure, reduce for both countries, setting a new deadline of correction parameters. So, from Portugal need to fix the budget deficit until the end of 2016, from Spain – not later than 2018. Effective measures should be taken until 15 October 2016, the two countries have to submit notification of these measures by that date.

Roger Ailes

Roger Ailes, the long-time boss of Fox News, has resigned after a number of female employees accused him of sexual harassment.

The network’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, announced his resignation. The announcement does not mention the sexual harassment allegations, which have now come from multiple Fox presenters. Executive chairman Rupert Murdoch wrote that Mr Ailes has made a “remarkable contribution” to Fox News.

China economy grows more than expected in second quarter

ChinaChina’s economy grew by slightly more than expected in the second quarter of the year as the government increased infrastructure spending.

Gross domestic product expanded by 6.7% in the three months to June compared to a year earlier, China’s statistics bureau said. The rate was steady from the previous quarter and above expectations of 6.6%. Analysts said the data showed the world’s second-biggest economy was likely stabilising.
